Incorrect camera settings can ruin a photo, but with the right application, you can still salvage the picture. PhotoScape X provides a good selection of editing tools for various purposes. You can use this application to make fine adjustments on your pictures, remove unwanted elements from the image or modify it completely. The best part is that its controls are simple and easy to understand, so you don't need to spend any time learning the layout of the interface and how to perform a certain operation.

The user interface presents a photo viewer and several editing sections, which can be accessed on separate tabs. Regardless of what you intend to do with your photos, all operations can be performed in a similar manner. For example, the Editor tab is where you can find the application's core editing functions. You can load a photo immediately, by clicking and dragging it from the left side of the interface to the central area, after which you can apply a wide variety of effects from the right side of the interface, where you can also find brushes and options for inserting text, pictures and other objects.

PhotoScape X provides support for batch operations as well. After dragging and dropping multiple images into the editing area, you can make numerous global settings on the right side of the interface, like defining a new size, selecting a brightness, contrast or lightening level and more. It is also possible to insert objects in all images at once, just like on the Editor tab.

Besides adjusting and editing photos, you can also combine them into a single picture or create a collage. In addition, the application allows you to create animated GIFs with your pictures. All you have to do is drop them into the central region of the interface, like in all other sections. You can also add effects and change the transition time for one or all pictures.

Pros

PhotoScape X includes a large amount of editing tools and it supports batch operations. It also allows you to combine pictures, create collages and generate GIF animations. The application's controls are well organized and easy to use.

Cons

There are no obvious drawbacks to mention. The possibility of editing and adjusting pictures on the fly is exactly what PhotoScape X has to offer.
